Gotham National Bank

5th & Main: No Clean Getaway

GOTHAM CITY — A highly coordinated and audaciously violent bank heist shook the heart of downtown Gotham this morning at the corner of 5th and Main, targeting the Gotham National Bank. Authorities confirm that a crew of heavily armed thieves wearing clown masks stormed the institution, making off with an undisclosed but massive sum of cash believed to belong to local organized crime syndicates.

The incident, which played out like a calculated military operation, left multiple bank employees injured and the vault completely cleared out.

According to eyewitnesses and structural data, the robbery began when two suspects used a zip-line from an adjacent rooftop to breach the bank’s upper-level windows. Concurrently, a stolen school bus smashed directly through the front doors of the building, providing a chaotic distraction and a heavy-duty extraction vehicle.

“They knew exactly what they were doing,” said Gotham Police Detective Allen. “They bypassed standard silent alarms and went straight for the primary vault. This wasn’t an amateur job. They had specific intel on the building’s layout and security protocols.”

Disturbingly, hostages inside the bank reported a bizarre and ruthless dynamic among the robbers. Witnesses claim the thieves began executing each other as the heist progressed, seemingly to increase individual shares of the stolen cash.

By the end of the siege, only one suspect remained standing—a man wearing a distinct, scarred makeup design beneath his clown mask, whom survivors overheard being referred to as “The Joker.”

The lone survivor loaded millions of dollars in mob money into the back of the school bus. In a chillingly calculated move, the suspect pulled the bus out of the shattered lobby and blended directly into a line of identical school buses clearing out a nearby school zone, evading immediate police pursuit.

The Gotham City Police Department has launched a city-wide manhunt. Commissioner Gillian Loeb has issued a high-alert warning to the public, advising that the remaining suspect is extremely dangerous, highly erratic, and heavily armed.

Here you will see them turning on each other. Was this always the plan or did things go wrong on the inside?
